Despite Global Pandemic, 'Magic: The Gathering Arena' Experiences Strongest Period Since Launch
As some industries struggle during the COVID-19 pandemic, Hasbro chairman and CEO Brian Goldner revealed that Magic: The Gathering revenue has increased "significantly" in the first quarter of 2020.
During the Hasbro earnings call Wednesday, Goldner said that January through March has been a period of enormous growth for MTG Arena, the digital format of the collectible card game, saying that Q1 was Arena’s “strongest period since launch,” which occurred in 2019.
