Which translator are you referring to? Or is there only One All-Knowing Holy Protestant Translator? I'm always confused about which Protestant sect is best for me and muh prosperity.

If you mean St Jerome, he did not translate the Vulgate, he translated the Greek into Latin. The Latin text is known as the Vulgate, and there were numerous translators of the Vulgate into German and English long after that. I can assure you, you do not have a Master's-level knowledge of this subject, because what I remember from 30 years ago, well, let's just say, your posts on this subject are cringe-inducing, and not just for me, I'm sure.

Some "translators of the Vugate." Although John Wycliffe is often credited with the first translation of the Bible into English, there were, in fact, many translations of large parts of the Bible centuries before Wycliffe's work. The English Bible was first translated from the Latin Vulgate into Old English by a few select monks and scholars.
