CoVid19 = flu?

You telling me that all these labs, test developers, scientists, ect. Are passing off a test for influenza as a test for corona virus?

That's screwed up. And implies significant collaboration withing the scientific community.

I know I have seen product inserts for both molecular and serologic tests that show specificity for covid19, even when adulterated with flu a/b and other coronavirus strains. I have also seen patients tested that were positive for flu/ negative for covid and vice versa.

It seems more likely that Covid19 is real, is a corona virus, is no worse that the usual flu/cold, and is treatable with drugs that are effective on flu because they are both RNA viruses and thus have some similarity.

Thank you anon. Will read.

Thinking a little more about this. I had read that the primer sequences that everyone is using were provided by the NIH; so plenty of potential for fuckery there…

Read this. In my opinion not a very scientific article. Most everybody in medicine knows to treat the patient, not the lab work. But a sensitive test (including PCR) can detect a pathogen in samples that are not optimal (dilute, early phase, upper respiratory swab in a patient who has disease mostly in the lungs..). And regarding AIDS; that certainly is a well defined clinical syndrome. I have seen immunocompromised faggots die from fungal infections in their bone marrow. As for as HIV being causative, I don't have any way to prove this to myself, I guess. Not a research background. That certainly could be a de facto standard belief. But again that would require significant collaboration among the scientific community.
