I hope the Q team took notes on what happened here, though I’m sure they know more about it that I. Some of the parallels for current events are pretty eerie.

Title of article in pdf: “A Trajectory of Competing Narratives: The Turkish Media”

Here are the salient points, between the article and pdf, which is a more thorough history:

‘Competing narratives’ between gov’t and media, just like what’s going on with the US media and POTUS.

[[[ Ergenekon]]] also refers to a shadowy "organization," a state within the state of Turkey, often referred to as the [[[deep state]]]

275 lawyers, politicians, and journalists were charged with a coup against the gov’t in 2007, including ex-military chief General Ilker Basbug (charged in 2008), who was sentenced with life in prison.

Coup plot convictions were overturned in 2016 because evidence had been collected illegally.

This is a hint to the ‘DOITQ’ crowd that this has to be done in a way that it NEVER happens again. Even if the NSA has it all, they have to collect evidence for cases legally

Another trial over an alleged 2003 plot against Erdogan, the Sledge “HAMMER” case, ended with acquittal for more than 200 military officers in March 2015.
