Quinine.

Stops the reproduction of cold and flu viruses either as prophylactic (preventative) or once the first symptoms start.

This was known after the Pandemic in 1918.

Tonic with quinine in it was the thing and was celebrated.

Gin and Tonic.

They LOVED their Gin in that period.

Slowly over time it seems the information was memory holed and Gin and Tonic was moved to being a posh person's drink.

Then when gin became one that everyone started drinking again, the quinine was gone from the tonic.

Lo' and Behold, those engineering the new colds and influenzas to sell you vaccinations and charge you more for your medical insurance, those same people stop you from knowing about and having a simple cheap treatment or preventative for diseases that are killing some of your most vulnerable. THEY see them as a burden after they've collected their money and they charge them again in hospital on the way dying from a virus they made withholding a simple treatment so they die faster.
