Reason to hope - Amazon was built by Dept of Defense logistics geniuses and is a solid supply/demand organizational structure built by an organization that knows how to organize a supply chain.
Now all we have to do is break it up into 8 or 10 Regional competitors that all start with the same supply chain access and modify it to fit the region.

Private Corporations gained control of the US Post Office through nefarious means and sliced / diced it up like a Benihana Chef. Now they run it into the ground and all take cuts in the bailouts every so often. The Post Office is a 'Semi Government Semi Private Corporation' which in essence means they wrote all the corporate rules to evade Federal Law and use the Post Office as a vehicle to wash petro dollars.
The Post Office isn't for us. It's for them.
