Its a generational thing. I work hard to keep them informed be we are talking about decades of programing. "This is what they have always done." They "trust" the system. This is the example of can't be told they have to see it happen for themselves. It is what it is… i do my best to help soften the shock of whats coming but they still believe I am the crazy one.
