If airlines want to start making money in the post-covid economy, they are going to have to factor physical distancing into the design of their seating.
Cattle car class will have to end. Yes, prices may increase due the lessened capacity, but I wouldn't mind paying a bit extra - let's not let it get out of hand now - for a more comfortable flight. Might make me take all those trips I have truly not gone on simply because of cattle car class seating and the cramming of humanity into a tube with little or no respite for the passengers to actually enjoy their journey.
