Quantum Materials

Introducing QDX™ HealthID:

A Health Card to Get

the World Working Again …

Quantum Materials Corporation

Founded in 2007, Quantum Materials Corp. is the leading manufacturer of Quantum Dots for use in many consumer, business and industrial applications. It is headquartered at Texas State University's STAR Park innovation facility in San Marcos, TX and is publicly listed and traded under the ticker symbol QTMM.

The Promise of Quantum Dots

Quantum Dots are nanoscale semiconductor particles that possess notable and extremely useful optical and electronic properties. QDs measure from 10 to 100 atoms in size - approximately 10,000 QDs would fit across the diameter of a human hair. They generate light when energy is applied to them or generate energy when light is applied.

QDs are being increasingly incorporated into high quality and energy efficient displays, sustainable and low cost solar cells and reliable and extended life solid state lighting. Other applications include energy storage and quantum computing.

The Quantum Materials team has spent several years perfecting QDs for the above markets and (leveraging their proprietary capabilities) now also for use in secure identity and anti-counterfeit applications. These offerings are commercially available via the Quantum Dot Xtreme (QDXTM) product family.

QDXTM Dots

Quantum Materials' QDXTM Dots have been designed so that they possess a number of unique properties that improve their efficacy, reduce their cost and allow them to be used in a number of new applications. Specifically:

  • QDXTM Dots are heat resistant to 260 degrees Celsius, so they can both withstand the heat of LCD display line production and the constant heat from active use in solid state lighting. This feature also reduces the need for expensive barrier films, lowering the cost of production.

  • QDXTM Dots are manufactured using an automated process allowing for the creation today of 25 grams/hour of QDs per QDXTM Reactor with the expectation of kilograms/hour by year end. High QD consistency is achieved bu monitoring and managing the production process by software without the need for expensive and slow manual monitoring.

  • QDXTM Dots can be finely-tuned to emit a predetermined wavelength of light. When they are incorporated into almost any physical item, they provide a unique optical signature that establishes product identities. These identities are impossible to copy or clone so that products enhanced by them can be verified as being genuine items and not counterfeits.

QDXTM Ledger Blockchain Platform

When the optical signature of a product is scanned (via a hand-held scanner or an app on a smartphone), a digital representation is created that is stored on the QDXTM Ledger blockchain platform. The platform provides an immutable, scalable and shared data store for consistent tracking and visibility among all participants in a product supply chain - from manufacture to customer purchase.

The identity and access credentials of participants, be they individuals, corporations or machines is also secured on the platform, providing mechanisms to control and restrict the supply of products as might be required by regulatory mandates and socially conscious business practices.

GOP Rep. and Doctor Challenges Junk Harvard Study That “Finds” Coronavirus Deaths Will Increase 8% with Pollution

GOP Rep. Andy Harris M.D. called on the EPA to conduct a rigorous review of the junk Harvard study that claims coronavirus deaths will increase 8% with pollution.

The left always tries to push this BS on the American public.

The hacks at Harvard are trying to ban oil and gas while the country is suffering.

What horrible people.

The Daily Caller News Foundation reported:

Republican Rep. Andy Harris of Maryland is asking the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to conduct a rigorous review of a Harvard University study associating high pollution levels to an increase in coronavirus deaths as researchers criticize the researchers’ findings.

EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler should conduct an investigation into the study, which suggests a link between pollution and higher rates of coronavirus deaths, Harris wrote to Wheeler on Saturday in a letter obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Harris addressed the letter to Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar as well.

Harris’s letter refers to a Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health study, published April 4, concluding that an increase in long-term exposure to particulate matter leads to an 8% increase in the coronavirus death rate.

Areas with elevated levels of pollution are likely to experience higher death rates during the pandemic, the research claimed.

The study initially claimed that people in areas with high levels of pollution are 15% more likely to die but added an April 24 clarification that reads: “We have revised our finding as that an increase of 1 μg/m3 in PM2.5 is associated with an 8% increase in the COVID-19 death rate.”

The revision noted that the study changed after researchers included “confounding factors” impacting the virus.

COVID-19 Credentials Initiative (CCI)

About the initiative

The COVID-19 Credentials Initiative (CCI) is a collaboration of more than 60 organizations working to deploy verifiable credential solutions to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Our goal is simple, we want to enable society to return to ‘normal’ in a controlled, measurable, and privacy-preserving way.

The initiative is a direct response to the many calls for an ‘immunity passport,’ a digital certificate that lets individuals prove (and request proof from others) that they’ve recovered after testing negative, have tested positive for antibodies, or have received a vaccination, once one is available. By proving some level of immunity, individuals will be able to begin participating in everyday life again.

Using the W3C industry standard called Verifiable Credentials, we have a blueprint to move forward. Yet while the underlying tech and standards are established, the vision for immunity certificates and other related credentials is far bigger than any one organization. To move at the speed and scale required, we need true collaboration across all fronts, and we are extending an open invitation for any organization or individual looking to join this endeavor.

'Not Helpful': Illinois Governor Slams White House's Handling of COVID-19 Response

Stating that he appreciates the help the White House provides, Governor Pritzker argued that it's just not enough.

As the US authorities continue their battle against the ongoing coronavirus crisis, Governor of Illinois J.B. Pritzker has stepped forward to criticize the White House's contribution to the anti-COVID-19 effort in the country.

During his appearance on the CBS show "Face the Nation", Pritzker argued that "it’s the governors that have risen to the challenge".

"I talk to my fellow governors, Republicans and Democrats, we've shared ideas with one another on how to keep people safe. We’ve gotten some guidance from the CDC that's been helpful, but much of what came out of the White House for many weeks was not helpful," he said.

The governor also complained that they needed the White House to “lead on the Defense Production Act to help us get swabs, get VTM, to help us get reagents”, and that “that hasn't much happened”.

Pritzker noted, however, that he's "very grateful" for the White House's recent promise to send 600,000 swabs to Illinois in May, though he added that while he appreciates the help provided by the White House, it's not enough.

"I wish that the White House had stepped up earlier and I think they still have the opportunity to do so when it comes to reagent," the governor remarked.

A number of social media users, however, appeared critical of the governor's speech and had some rather unpleasant things to say about him.
