Boatfag Report
Southern Caribbean & Venezuela
Nothing stands out r/n, just picked up. Looking at an unknown skunk, possibly US warship, south of the ABC Islands near the Gulf of Venezuela and Maracaibo.
Also watching a possible interdiction, cap related. A pleasure craft surrounded by 2 unknown Skunks (poss US) NE of Barbados and a third in stand-off range.
South China Sea
Still a large dead zone of traffic near Scarborough Shoal, cap related. Not uncommon but some traffic tracks do seem to be angling to stay well clear of the area. Same can't be said for other spots where the ChiComs have set up shop. Ships stay out of the "exclusion zones" but don't have too much issue with getting relatively close to them.
Korea Strait
Some unknowns on the south of the Korean peninsula at the bottom of the Korean Strait. Almost all the gray ships in that area do have ID so these unidentifieds may be the US MCM's continuing a mine countermeasures exercise reported by Navy twat a couple days ago.
San Diego
Lots of activity. Arrows in the cap show "US Warship" or "US Govt vessel". Green arrow is listed as USS Omaha (LCS 12), an Independence-class littoral combat ship. Looks like a fair amount of in-out and interdiction-staged traffic but no activity that jumps off the scope.
Pearl
No caps, but USS Blackhawk (a destroyer tender) and USS Mt Baker (an ammunition ship) are south of Oahu and look like they're headed east. Will monitor these.Pic of "Baker" included
Suez and Horn of Africa
Meh. The usual.
Eastern Med Coast
Quiet. Anything off that coast doesn't want to be seen.
Indian Ocean to Australia
Nothing remarkable.
English Channel
A few Brit warships out there, as usual. Nothing to worry about that I can see.
GIUK gap, Barents and Kara Seas
Usual traffic.
