Boatfag Report

Final summary of the evening for me. My ass is tired, been on watch for a minute.

Coast of Venezuela

Netherlands frigate HNLMS Karel Doorman has been running around the ABC Islands, currently heading W, doing 13 knots, a couple nm S of Curacao. Nice duty if you can get it. Nothing else to report.

Pearl

Mt. Baker must be just doing an out-in training run. They're cruising really slowly or anchored off the SW of Maui, due south of Lahaina if you're looking at a water map. The USS Blackhawk, however, is thru the Kawai channel, east of Kaneohe and heading 057 degrees at 8kts with a destination of Tacoma WA showing. Looks like she's CONUS bound.

West Coast US

Similar traffic at San Diego as the report a few breads ago but it looks like a few more USN ships are out of the harbor. They're still close to the coast and not straying far. Haven't seen anything of note at any of the other left coast ports except a couple of Canuck Navy ships heading to sea from Victoria BC.

East Coast US

Unknown US warship south of Key West, about halfway between there and Havana, heading W at 16 kts.

USCGC Confidence is off Ft. Pierce, heading S at about 12 kts.

A rather LARGE unidentified US warship is close to Jacksonville FL heading S at 16 kts.

And very interestingly, the USNS Prevail (you should see what this tuna boat can do) is hanging around off the NC Outer Banks. Currently around Kitty Hawk going SSE at 9kts.

USNS Comfort is in the harbor at Norfolk VA.

All other locations about the same as earlier reports today indicated.
