For your consideration, Baker:

Something came to my attention today, that ValueAct just dumped $1 Billion into Nintendo back on April 21st.

I tried to do some digging on what exactly this company does, apparently they dump major investments into companies in order to nudge them in a direction they want the companies to go. All this recent talk about Soros using game platforms as communication backchannels kind of got me thinking.

A precursory dig on the head honcho, Jeffrey Ubben, revealed his political leanings:

That's some serious cheese to be throwing at the DNC like that.

Some other names of interest, head people running the company include Mason Morfit, Kelly Barlow, Greg Spivy, and Brandon Boze.

They have strong ties in everything from Adobe Systems, Microsoft, Motorola, Reuters Group, Tektronix, just to name a few. They specialize in tech companies. I haven't found any specific ties to Soros explicitly, but it wouldn't hurt to get a few more eyes on this company for a more exhaustive dig.

Just trying to follow the money.
