Got a little quake way over in Sinking Springs, PA, right next to the post office.

Ok, I'll bite-

 

A spring in what was then the far western edge of Cumru Township captured the settlers’ imagination as itconstantly sank and replenished itself.It was the source of the township’s name and also that of the village — later the borough — of Sinking Spring.

As economic conditions improved, industries developed within the township. One of the earliest was the mining of iron ore near Cushion Hill around 1760.
