Let me clarify about Twitter memes.

It's not about the SIZE but the SHAPE.

Memes for twitter should be TWICE AS WIDE as they are HIGH.

For example pic3/pic4 will appear like this in a twitter feed.

The viewer would have to click the post to see the whole image.

So for twitter we make memes with a specific SHAPE.

It's the SHAPE that's important.

 

Landscape-shaped memes 2:1 are great for Twitter.

Portrait-shaped memes 1:2 will look wrong and require clicking the post.

We aim to produce memes that do not have to be clicked to be displayed fully.

People in a hurry are not likely to take the time to click a post and see the whole meme, unless the top portion grabs them.

The solution is to put the meme on a canvas that's the right shape.

It's not a great solution so a better approach is to make mememes on a 2:1 canvas so the elements are designed with that shape in mind.
