I, like some of you, have been wondering why POTUS mentions the 1917-1918 flu so often.
The outbreak was in the spring of 1918, but most likely the planning stages were in 1917.
I came across the video at PBS about that flu and found some interesting connections.
Unlike that flu which was real and killed people, particularly young healthy men of military age, this flu is not that deadly, and targets the weak and vulnerable, as expected.
The 1918 flu was intentionally spread among our soldiers by president Wilson, back and forth to Europe.
The flu stayed confined in the military, until the govt intentionally ignored the risks and encouraged people to hold large parades. They also drafted 13 million men at one time, processing them in close quarters all over the country. They did this all while sending men back and forth to help with war in Europe
This vid says the flu was started at Fort Riley Kansas when soldiers burned manure
Eventually, During 1918, flu, People were forced to wear masks
Church, schools, businesses, and farms were shut down
The Govt spent millions to develop vaccines that didn’t work.
America which was once vibrant and leading the world soon became dead and deadly
Patriotism was at an all time high before the virus struck, but soon people turned against each other
Soldiers were revered, but then seen as the source of the disease
The 1918 flu caused people to turn to violence In San Fran, a health care agent shot and killed somebody for not wearing a mask.
In Chicago, a man killed his family for fear of spreading the virus. People become traumatized over the death toll and lack of socializing.
The end result would be a nation would fall apart
People who once lived a very good, carefree, and productive life soon lived in deadly fear of each other because they didn’t know who carried the flu. It was an unseen enemy, too.
Social intimacy and unity among Americans was destroyed.
Eventually, morality breaks down, violence happens and the country is destroyed.
Trump had revised our patriotism as well as our economy. The 1918 flu destroyed those things in 1918 and they want it to happen again.
The DS is trying to have a replay of that same playbook but this time with a regular flu.
I think we are at the violent stage now. They want violence to break out. They want us to fear and hate each other. They want division and destruction of our society, humanity and country
