Democrat 'Disinfo' Group Using DARPA-Funded Tech; Will Pay Shills To Target Pro-Trump Accounts

An anti-Trump political action committee will use DARPA-funded artificial intelligence and network analysis to map discussion of President Trump's claims over social media and target pro-Trump accounts during the 2020 election.

The PAC, advised by retired Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal, will deploy the technology originally developed to counter propaganda from the Islamic State, according to the Washington Post.

The group, Defeat Disinfo, will use artificial intelligence and network analysis to map discussion of the president’s claims on social media. It will seek to intervene by identifying the most popular counter-narratives and boosting them through a network of more than 3.4 million influencers across the country — in some cases paying users with large followings to take sides against the president. -Washington Post

Spearheaded by Curtis Hougland - who says he received initial funding for the technology from the Pentagon's shadowy research arm; the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) - the initiative raises questions over whether taxpayer funds were being repurposed for political purposes, notes Fox News' Greg Re.

In a statement to Fox News, DARPA outright rejected the Post's reporting, and said that Hougland was misrepresenting their work.

"Hougland's claim DARPA funded the tech at the heart of his political work is grossly misleading," DARPA tweeted. "He advised briefly on ways to counter ISIS online. He was not consulted to design AI or analysis tools, nor certainly anything remotely political. DARPA is strictly apolitical."

"Hougland had a tertiary consulting role advising an agency program on how to explore new and better ways to counter America's adversaries online," a DARPA spokesperson told Fox News, adding "He was not consulted for technical expertise designing artificial intelligence or network analysis tools, nor certainly any research that was remotely political. … Unequivocally, DARPA funding did not help advance the technology with which Hougland now works any more than does his use of other agency technologies like the internet or mobile phone."

Meanwhile, Hougland's PAC will pay influencers to convey their messaging, according to the Post - a tactic which Mike Bloomberg's campaign took heat for earlier this year.

Jeff Sessions: Why Bring Foreign Workers to U.S. When 30,000,000 Americans Are Jobless?

United States Senate candidate Jeff Sessions says there is no shortage of American labor, calling out lawmakers and their “corporate friends” for supporting a continued flow of foreign workers to the U.S. to take jobs in the midst of mass unemployment.

In an exclusive interview with Alexander Marlow on SiriusXM Patriot’s Breitbart News Daily, Sessions said it is critical that lawmakers defend the interests of unemployed Americans who have been laid off due to forced business closures spurred by the Chinese coronavirus crisis.

“We have 30 million unemployed … We don’t have jobs in the United States,” Sessions said. “There are no jobs now. We’ll lay off more people this week then we did last week.”

“Why would we bring in foreign workers to take jobs when we don’t have jobs for the American people,” Sessions asked. “What theory is it that they’re operating under when they try to justify such a policy position? It’s certainly not in the interest of the American people. It’s in the interest of their corporate friends and some ideology that they adhere to … so I do think that it’s time for this Congress to deliver on its promises that the president made in the campaign.”

Sessions said more Republican lawmakers must be stepping up to the plate to take on China, holding the communist regime accountable for wrecking the U.S. economy. A select committee in the House and Senate, Sessions said, ought to be formed to determine the truth behind China’s role in spreading the coronavirus to the world.

“Where are the rest of the Republicans? Where are they? I mean this is a big issue,” Sessions said. “This party owes it to the American people to defend our interests — American interests. And I don’t think there’s been near enough action.”

“I would think the first thing we need to do is to rally the people who understand the significance of this and have what I call for, is a select committee to study this pandemic and how it started,” Sessions continued. “We did that after the attack on Pearl Harbor … where House and Senate appoint select members of congress … and the charge is what did China know and what did they do, when did they act on it or not, and did they lie about it? The world needs to know.”

As Breitbart has reported, existing U.S. legal immigration law greatly benefits China. Visa programs such as the EB-5 visa for wealthy foreign investors, the F-1 student visa, and J-1 visas allow about 180,000 Chinese nationals to enter the country every year in addition to the 60,000 to 70,000 Chinese nationals who secure green cards annually.

There are nearly 500,000 Chinese students in the U.S. in any given year — more than any other nation — taking seats in university classrooms and looking to eventually obtain Optional Practical Training (OPT) authorization to take entry-level jobs in white-collar professions.

Liz Warren Says Biden’s Defense Against Sex Assault Claims Was ‘Credible And Convincing,’ Reaffirms Her Support

Sen. Elizabeth Warren said Monday that Vice President Joe Biden’s denial that he sexually assaulted one of his Senate aides in the 1990s was “credible and convincing.”

She also reaffirmed her support for the likely Democratic presidential nominee.

“The vice president’s answers were credible and convincing,” Warren told the reporters before entering the Senate chamber for a vote. She was responding to questions about Biden’s alleged sexual assault of Tara Reade, one of the former vice president’s Senate aides in 1993.

“I support the vice president. I support his campaign, and I am proud to endorse him for president,” the Massachusetts Democrat said.

Warren has not responded to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment about her support for Biden. She thoroughly criticized former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg over nondisclosure agreements signed with women over the past three decades related to complaints about comments he allegedly made.

“I’d like to talk about who we’re running against: a billionaire who calls women ‘fat broads’ and ‘horse-faced lesbians,’ and no I’m not talking about [President] Donald Trump. I’m talking about Mayor Bloomberg,” she said during a Democratic debate in February.

Bloomberg, a former Republican, ran a presidential campaign before bowing out following Warren’s barbs.

Democrats are not going to win if we have a nominee who has a history of hiding his tax returns, of harassing women, and of supporting racist policies like red lining and stop and frisk,” Warren added.

Biden denied Reade’s accusation, telling MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski Friday that “it never, never happened.”
