Would it be standard practice for a commercial provider like Google/RING, to use open source SIP provider LinPhone's services?
Finding links which suggest account created under LinPhone, upon new device/account registration - is Ring using this as an intermediary? Insecure?
A user on the Apple forums has noted unduly large log files being generated for LinPhone activity by the RING app.

Could use of LinPhone also permit MITM attacks for targetted snooping via other devices too, once RING app is installed to a handset, or home computer say?

There is a glaring and unresolved 'chicken & egg' question, where RNA strand virii are concerned.
This can be resolved, if you consider that decoupling from a failing host/region/organ/cell community requires a change in the cell to ensure survival beyond the host.
This NATURAL process when biological terrain is becoming unsustainable, is for bacterial organisms to begin a metamorphic process towards sporing (escape/mobility) - as the host putrefacts, so bacterial life will migrate to more accommodating host(s).
