Nobody wants to buy a departure for this hour, and nobody arriving from anywhere else is going to be on a flight scheduled to land at this hour. No airport employees, no food services, basically just cleaning crews at this hour.
Have unfortunately been stuck there around this time.
There are no comfortable places to sleep except the floor, and after a while, you don't care that you're asleep on a damn terminal floor.
