Thank you anon, you are not alone. None of us are.
Philosophy has been invaluable for me, but not the regurgitated crap in schools, growing my own opinion.
Biggest harm: cellphones/tv/movies/gaming/distractions/etc.
Unfavorable, but how can you remain true to that belief now that you know these are methods of control? How do you slip the yoke?
We want COMFORT… not challenge. So we hit snooze and roll over and cover our face with the blankets…
We KNOW this shit is bad for us, but we continue to accept it because we have been Told since youth that we are fine, it doesn't cause anything negative, it is alllllllllllll gooooooood… pop some pills and wash it down with some sugary beverage which keeps your body lusting after the sugar…
One of the more challenging part of my life: going back to college as a professional adult, with career experience knowing this…. it is painful to see so many kids with virtually NO focus, fucking around on their phones, bullshitting with partners during class…. not to say that the material/education is all that… but it is knowledge…. now to apply the knowledge with wisdom.
