Do you know animals can be bought from ranchers, poultry houses, 4H kids, etc and have it taken to privately owned processor and have it processed yourself? The owner of the animal hauls it to the processor once you order and pay for it. Processor slaughters it, processes and wraps it. One can buy a quarter, half or whole beef, pig, or chicken, etc. Meat ends up being anywhere from $1.50 to $3.50 a lb, depending on what you buy and more importantly, YOU KNOW WHERE IT CAME FROM. All you have to do is order it, pay for it and go pick up the wrapped meat from the processor.
