>software security experts in 24 hours

Didn't see that stated anywhere but if a person doesn't start learning they'll never arrive at even a close understanding.

Rather see everyone become half aware of what software is, and does than millions of completely clueless people carrying a computer everywhere.

It is funny to watch some codefags standing on a pedestal proclaiming they are all knowing and it isn't for thee.

Almost like evil priests protecting their position of authority.

>trivialize what people do for a living

Nobody did, or you're overly sensitive.

Remember when reporters told people to "learn to code"?

Understanding that [some programmers] have the social understanding of rabid dog.

Encouraging people to learn and look is better than discouraging. Agree expectations should be set accordingly.

Of course when you tell other to not look you could discourage someone that has an unknown capacity for amazing discoveries.

You can't know. Thus temper the response to be helpful/encouraging versus arrogant/discouraging.

A person with years of knowledge and experience should be the teacher/guide..unless just clown/shill.
