That would be my guess. I've been calling bullshit on diabetes for the last few years, obviously not because it doesn't exist but because every second ad on CNN is a new diabetes medicine or monitor. Someone is making a fortune. I'm type 2 myself, early 50's, no history, not overweight, relatively active. My 18 year old daughter was diagnosed as type 1 in October. This kid is a true athlete cheer, rugby, running. It makes no sense to me other than environmental and it's fucking heartbreaking.

Sadly I think you're right. The real problem is we have no idea what we should be eating. Given everything we have learned so far, how do we know what truly good or bad. I would love to know the real truth.
