Gates has initiated several sustainable ventures to facilitate a vegan future.
He has invested in plant-based meat brands Beyond Meat and Impossible Foods.
He has sponsored Memphis Meats, a start-up company that develops clean meat from animal cells thereby reducing the environmental impact of meat production and saving animals from undue cruelty.
The tech entrepreneur has also led a $90 million investment in the startup Motif Ingredients that has been tasked to bioengineer vegan friendly ingredients that mimic vitamins and proteins found in milk or meat.
His charitable foundation has funded Apeel Sciences to create an organic, invisible, safe plant-based coating that allow fruits and vegetables to remain fresh for a longer period of time.
