I think the Helios/Saturnian capture event occurred much more recently. The symbology and stories seem to begin 12,000 years ago, before that was the golden age in the primordial Eden of Saturn's purple haze plasma sheath where the stars and bright sunlight was not visible. Homer doesn't use the word for the color blue, and describes the oceans as "the wine-dark sea", suggesting the ancients didn't have words for certain colors that they couldn't see due to the spectrum being different.
