Comes from the old miltary manaual for communications. When sending morse code, they would use short forms that always started with Q, calledโ€ฆ.. Q-Signals. The two key ones were QRK and QSA for What is my Readability and How good is my Signal. The answers were sent back on a scale of 1 bad to 5 very good. So when a Radio check is done and the answer comes bad 5 by 5 it is the same as saying signal is very strong, message is very readable.

"Learn our comms Q says"

Think of comms like Easter Eggs in Movies Anon. There are many and varied & usually directed to several different human sense responses. It is up to us to make this mathematically impossible - that is why we are here.
