that is because all early christians were jews and they did not agree on the nature and message of JESUS and how to connect (or disconnect) with hebrew scripture. They invented an orthodoxy to support all this and control the people through religion and the church.
But BEFORE chrisianity became the official religion of the Roman Empire it was under attack - and what were the attacks?
