Listening to df speak is edifying. Notice how she pronounces "chinese" words. For example, the majority of english speakers are terrible at pronouncing chinese words: Xi for example is actually pronounced "she" but the untrained "reporters/announcers" - rather than checking with…oh, I don't know, perhaps a native chinese speaker as to the correct pronounciation…but for this I'll just pick a couple of df's pronounciations: the average english speaker, when they see the construct "ang" they will pronounce it like "hang" like in "Lets hang shrillary!" but in chinese, that sound is more like "ong" like in "bong" but a bit softer like bhong so Shanghai isn't sh-hang-hi it's sh-hong-hai but be careful because "hong" in chinese is also pronounced with a "home" like sound for the "o" with several different meanings.
I only write this because df proves by her speech that she is fully aware of the chinese language, the correct pronounciation, and I even noticed when she spoke about Jiang Zemin, former china [DS] operative and pronounced his name not just phonetically but also with the correct "tones" for each syllable, not a feat someone without studying can do. And, oh yes, I do speak mandarin.
df IS china [DS]!
