Are we being stooged….

Copied from FB:

I watched Morrison's coronavirus update today.

In the update, Morrison stated that the National Cabinet was now going to remain permanent and COAG was being ditched.

If I ever had doubts that the coronavirus was not a smoke-screen for the reworking of any form of legitimate government in this country - his feel-good speech dissolved those doubts.

1) the National Cabinet was formed BY COAG. So it is a body of the Council of Australian Governments.

COAG comprises the Prime Minister, the Premiers of each State and the Heads of Local Government - ALL with the same ability to vote.

We all know that Local Government is NOT a constitutional body and the people refused its inclusion in our Constitution three times. Yet, it has an equal representation in COAG - so by logical thought - COAG is not a constitutional body either.

QUOTE:COAG and its ministerial committees has been leading reforms and initiatives ranging from bans on waste, disaster and drought recovery management, energy, public safety, family violence and cross-government digital transformation.ENDQUOTE

COAG and its ministerial committees????? COAG has ministerial committees that lead reforms & initiatives???? Yet, COAG is NOT a constitutional body??? Aren't ministerial bodies part of Parliament???

And COAG has - apparently happily - dissolved itself and left behind a bastard child - the National Cabinet.

Now the National Cabinet consists of the "nation's first ministers – the Prime Minister, premiers and territory leaders".

So - for some reason - local government has also been ditched along with COAG.

But folks - apparent from the very clear unconstitutional creation of this body - lots of little strange things were revealed by Morrison.

  1. this is a 'a form of co-operative federalism many officials had only dreamed of.' Which clearly establishes that they do not consider our Commonwealth & State co-operative federalism worked - or rather, did not work for them.

  1. it is 'bringing together a massive whole-of-government response across the entire federation, never seen before in peacetime.' Now that really hit me, because we all watch Parliament meet, fight, bicker like little nasty children, lie, deceive the people and play party politics - none of which indicates they have the ability to operate through a 'whole-of-government response' - yet they create this totally new body of non-constitutional reform and suddenly butter would not melt in their mouths. Buddies, mates , willing and able to meet in the middle.

That clearly makes me wonder whether both Liberals and Labor haven't been playing us for fools for many years. Trying to get us to believe the copy-cat version of OUR system of law could not work, but their new version of the future government, does.

QUOTE: Morrison said on Wednesday the nation could take confidence that through the national cabinet all governments were working together: "… it doesn't matter what party you're in, in that national cabinet. There are five Labor members and there are four Liberals. And we are working together as one united team to deal with the issues that we have been sworn in to deal with." ENDQUOTE

Seriously???

Then we learn that "In just five days an extraordinary new federal operating model has been created.."

Five days eh. Funny how the corona pandemic made all their minds work so brilliantly and quickly, eh. I call that b.s. Months, possibly years, of hidden planning have come together in this virus response.

And Morrison - with the very clear support of the Labor party has "has enthusiastically embraced this administrative infrastructure. Over the weekend he established the national cabinet formally under the Commonwealth government's cabinet guidelines and set up the legal framework to operationalise the whole-of-government response now required."

Liberal & Labor, Morrison & Albanese - hand in hand in creating this fait accompli. Last time that happened so disgustingly, was with Whitlam & co.

But what Morrison stated today was the clincher that this was all wrong - the Ministerial portfolios will disappear - all absorbed into the aegis of the National Cabinet.

And guess what folks - not once - in articles, or Morrison's flowery speech today - was the Parliament mentioned. The representatives that YOU supposedly elect - were not mentioned in any capacity.

But then - YOU were not mentioned either. YOU were not involved in the creation of this de facto body. YOU were not asked your thoughts. YOU were not given a vote in it.

Clearly - oh so very clearly - it does not answer to you, but you are supposed to answer to it.

Our lawful Constitution - set aside.

Whitlam's de facto administrative governance - ditched

Morrison's bi-partisan dictatorial republic - now in charge.

The Separation of Powers in our Constitution was designed to protect the people from arbitrary government. Today's version is about separating the people from their voice.
