Dan Coates is quoted:

Which he did again, in plain words, after Trump’s news conference: “We have been clear in our assessments of Russian meddling in the 2016 election and their ongoing, pervasive efforts to undermine our democracy,” Coats said, “and we will continue to provide unvarnished and objective intelligence in support of our national security.”

This means as the DNI at the time of the Mueller investigation, he should have known that the dossier was based on russian disinformation.

Which means that the vague statement above could either be directed at Clinton, which if it came out in those classified interviews, would absolutely be a bombshell.

But if he followed the same path as every other corrupt head - it means he (knowingly) went along with the narrative that the russians were trying to help Trump despite (knowing) that the opposite was true.

Considering the Washington Post (amazon) was actively begging him to stay in his position, I’m thinking the later scenario to be more realistic.

I think those transcripts will show Dan Coats echoing the same narrative as Jim Comey and others.
