Boatfag Update Report
No News Summaries or full sweep on the Scope, I don't have much time due to irl shit, this is just for one ship currently under observation:
USNS Watkins has been the subject of discussion for a couple days now. Here's what I have on her. According to marinetraffic.com, she is currently about 100 nm due north of Panama, heading 183 degrees at 15kts. Based on this info, looks like she's inbound for the Panama Canal and crossing to the Pacific.
A typical search for USNS Watkins on this site initially showed her north of Cuba at about the same position (among several) that was reported yesterday. It even included an 05/05/20 timestamp for the position. I only got this by playing with the filters and track options, and it seems to agree with the main screen showing an "Unnamed US Govt Vessel'' in the same location when all the tracks and crap are turned off.
It's possible that Watkins is spoofing or the sites are all having function issues (or some kinda fuckery). However, vesselfinder.com is now agreeing with this track and even shows the right IMO# and photo when selected. Caps of both website fixes included. We can be pretty confident we've got a good fix on her now, and considering the AO I request our Boatfags keep a fix on her for a little longer.
Sorry, Navy. You trained us well, don't be upset cause we can still get it done.
