The Harder They Fall: Trump Attorney Moves Against Stormy Daniels And Michael Cohen

There is something crushingly ironic in a recent letter received by former Trump counsel Michael Cohen from current Trump counsel Charles Harder. Cohen has been getting the word out that he is writing a tell-all book in his latest effort to cash in on his scandalous career. He then received a letter from Harder that he will sue Cohen if he violates . . . you guessed it . . . his nondisclosure agreement (NDA). The same grounds that Cohen used against Stormy Daniels. Speaking of Daniels, she also received mail from Harder, who is seeking hundreds of thousands of dollars for attorneys fees used to represent Trump against her (also a threat made by Cohen in prior litigation). There are two critical differences in all of this. First, unlike Cohen, Harder is a competent lawyer. Second, Harder actually has a strong case against both individuals.

A friend of Cohen got the word out through the Daily Beast and other publications that “A lot of [the book] will be about looking at things he’s said and done with women and other [politically incorrect] things. It’ll be an insider’s look about what it was like to be alongside the president for 12 years.”

It is vintage Michael Cohen. Not only is he still trying to use anyone and anything to make a buck, but he is entirely discarding any ethical and contractual concerns over the interests of his former client. He presumably obtained this information when doing confidential work for his client since, given his notorious reputation as a legal thug, few people would be interested in Michael Cohen’s view of publicly available facts.

According to the Daily Beast, Harder is citing an NDA that Cohen signed. Most attorneys do not need an NDA since ethics rules are sufficient to prevent such disclosures, which is precisely why Harder needs to cite the NDA to Cohen.

Harder could simply take some of Cohen’s own words when he was threatening journalists, students, and others deemed a threat to Trump. For example in threatening a journalist, Cohen wrote:

“Mark my words for it, I will make sure that you and I meet one day over in the courthouse and I will take you for every penny you still don’t have, and I will come after your Daily Beast and everybody else that you possibly know. Do not even think about going where I know you’re planning on going. And that’s my warning for the day.”

Cohen then morphs into a bad rendition of a mobster after being asked for a statement: He warns Mak to “tread very f–king lightly because what I’m going to do to you is going to be f–ing disgusting. . . . Do you understand me? Don’t think you can hide behind your pen because it’s not going to happen. . . . I’m more than happy to discuss it with your attorney and with your legal counsel because motherf—er you’re going to need it.”

Or he could just cite the NDA and wait for Cohen to be Cohen.

Facebook’s New Censorship Czar is Anti-Trump Leftist Who Made Barron a Punch Line

Gee, I wonder where this is going.

One of Facebook’s new “content oversight board” members who will decide what information is censored by the social media giant is Pamela Karlan, a leftist who infamously made Barron Trump the punch line of a joke.

“The independent board, which will be able to overturn Facebook and its CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s decisions on whether individual pieces of content should be allowed on Facebook and Instagram, is a high-profile response to criticism of how the social media company handles problematic content,” reports Channel News Asia.

One of the new members is none other than Pamela S. Karlan, an American professor of law at Stanford Law School, who made her name for herself for an anti-Trump rant during the impeachment hearings.

“The Constitution states that there can be no titles of nobility,” said Karlan during the rant. “So while the president can name his son Barron, he can’t MAKE him a baron.”

Melania Trump responded to the attack on Barron, a minor, by telling Karlan she “should be ashamed” of herself. The Trump administration called Karlan’s statement “disgusting” and she subsequently apologized.

Karlan also once described herself as a “snarky, bisexual, Jewish women” and was described by the New York Times as a “full-throated, unapologetic liberal torchbearer.”

The appointment of Karlan only confirms once again that Facebook is a hyper-partisan bias organization that engages in election meddling by censoring pro-Trump content and bans influential conservatives like yours truly.

Another appointee to the censorship board is Alan Rusbridger, former editor of the Guardian, which is a far-left newspaper.

Expect the company’s aggressive stifling of free speech to become even more vehement with Kaplan and Rusbridger overseeing it.

DC Musician’s Facebook Account Hacked By ISIS, Platform Refuses to Reinstate Claiming He ‘Violated TOS’

A DC-based musician’s Facebook account was briefly hacked by someone promoting ISIS — and now the platform will not restore his account because the hackers violated their terms of service.

Andrew Carlson, 34, lost access to his account on Sunday evening.

Carlson was alerted to the hack by his mother, who had sent him a photo of his account featuring the ISIS flag. The account was deactivated within hours.

The next morning, when Carlson attempted to regain control of his account, he received an email from Facebook claiming that he had violated the social media giant’s guidelines and would be permanently banned.

The email from Facebook said that they “don’t allow credible threats to harm others, support for violent organizations or exceedingly graphic content on Facebook.”

Carlson is unaware of what the hackers posted on his account before it was deactivated.

“I responded and explained that I was hacked, possibly by ISIS, and that I had nothing to do with any content posted to the account that evening,” Carlson told the Gateway Pundit. “They responded, again, but did not acknowledge the hacking. They simply repeated that I violated the guidelines and that they would no longer be responding to my emails.”

Facebook responded to his request for help by saying that they will not reactivate it “for any reason” and that “this will be our last message regarding your account.”

“Your account has been permanently disabled for not following the Facebook Community Standards. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to reactivate it for any reason,” the email from Facebook read. “This will be our last message regarding your account. For more information about our policies, please review the Facebook Community Standards.”

Carlson used his account to keep in touch with family and friends, as well as to promote his band. In addition to losing his personal account, he has also lost access to his band’s page.

Another user who was the victim of an ISIS-supporting hacker posted to Reddit six months ago about their issues communicating with Facebook to have their account restored following the hack.

CNN Legal Analyst Decries ‘Astonishing Assault On The Rule Of Law’ After Flynn Charges Dropped

CNN legal and national security analyst Susan Hennessey called the Department of Justice’s decision to drop the charges against former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn an “astonishing assault on the rule of law.”

“This moment represents the full collapse of an apolitical Justice Department,” Hennessey wrote Thursday. “An astonishing assault on the rule of law and in a functional DOJ it would prompt mass resignation.”

The DOJ announced Thursday that it was dropping all charges against Flynn after “an extensive review and careful consideration of the circumstances.” (RELATED: ‘Waco’: A Timely, Must-Watch Series In The Age Of Authoritarianism)

The announcement comes just over a week after documents revealed discussions between FBI agents over whether their goal was to get Flynn to lie, in order to either prosecute him or get him fired. Flynn pleaded guilty in late 2018 to lying to the FBI, but said earlier this year that he regretted his decision, saying he believes he was honest with FBI agents who interrogated him during the early days of the Trump administration. “When FBI agents came to the White House on January 24, 2017, I did not lie to them. I believed I was honest with them to the best of my recollection at the time,” Flynn said.

Hennessey has been a staunch critic of the Trump administration, and the CNN analyst asked her Twitter followers earlier this year to donate to left-wing causes to “ensure Trump is defeated” in his re-election campaign.
