I met a couple of professors from Annapolis at a conference about ten years ago. At the time islam was a big issue (still is) but these guys claimed that war simulations showed our actual biggest threat is our souther boarder if there's a Mexican civil war. They said simulations showed we would lose control of several boarder States as the millions of refugees flood in.
