Nah, beards are what happen when you get tired of shaving every damned day. Every damned day. Every damned day. When I was 14-15 it was great excitement to shave off the peach fuzz. Almost 55 years later, the excitement and newness have pretty much worn off.

If it will make you feel any better, when I DO shave, I use a straight razor / no mirror and shave my head … little bumps and all. They heal. Mostly I don't bother with that, either.
