Styrene is a vinyl group bonded on a benzene ring. Simple (not very big) hydrocarbon molecule
Magnesium stearate is a Mg molecule with two stearate chains attached. Much longer molecule with no rings.
Nothing whatsoever to do with Styrene which is used to make simple plastics for packaging. Styrene is not a soap. Stearate is the soapy stuff.
It's a diluent, a non medicinal ingredient used to DILUTE the strength of the preparation. There are many diluents. It's no big deal if one becomes hard to get because there are a dozen alternatives.
