sometimes out in the middle of the woods in the Winter there will be a Vernal pond type of place that floods and freezes and creates perfect skating location for a hearty crew of people.

It's a magic thing, to be in a place where the rest of the year it's a swampy low part of the woods. But in the mid winter when it's really cold it becomes a fairyland for skaters, a dream like locatin.

also if you go there on a full moon the forest will be lite by that, and if there is snow . . . well it's magical.
