Good evening, fellow KAF R1 planefags, Here's what I managed to note today in-between work. All times are Zulu time (GMT)

10.00 - GAF648 (15+01) was on the ground at Lajes Field in the Acores. GAF186 (54+07) was leaving Jordan at angels 32 headed NE.There was a UASF UAV over the Baltic at angels 52 just off the Lithuanian coast.

10.00 - GAF648 left Lajes Field headed NW. 2-TRAV was W of Paris at angels 4, landing at Charles de Gaulle. this plane had been to Nice and was apparently on the return trip..

10.45 - Two Algerian Government planes (7T-VPC and 7T-VPE) were over the Algerian coast at angels 21 and 15. I've not seen these in the air recently, so I noted them.2-AWBN left Oxford vectored for Guernsey at angels 5.

11.15 - Swiss Air Force SUI729 (T-729) left Zurich headed NNE over Germany and was over Eschwege at angels 17.

12.00 - 2-ZERO was spotted at angels 10, having left Croydon and was over Southampton headed ENE.T-719 was over Goslar/Wernigerode, on a vector for Rostock.

12.30 - T-729 was seen heading SSW from Schladen/Hornburg at angels 21, over Nordhausen. RA-73026 (Russian Transport) was over Bayreuth at angels 39 headed WSW - had departed from Moscow. A7-HJJ (Qatar Almiri flight) left Paris headed ESE, over Szeged in Hungary at angels 39. French Air Force CTM1433 left Jordan at angfels 18 Headed WNW.

14.15 - T-729 was S of Konstanz, altitude not showing, headed SW. I get the feeling that this plane was up to something shady. USAF UAV over Estonia at angels 52.

If you are a planefag, you understand this clearly. Angels = altitude in 000's of feet. The location, height and direction fixes the plane in 3D space.

Anyone who has been around the military knows that air forces use language like this.

Roger, acknowledged. a non-planefag seems to not like the kind of clarity and brevity that I use. It's normal military-type radio traffic to me and that's how I type it.

It's a good job I didn't refer to the French Air Farce!

USAF UAV currently over Lublin, Poland at angels 52. Planefags, I know it's hard, but when they hold NATO exercises like this, you have to be prepared to spot the unusual. I am half expecting the Germans or Swiss to try and sneak off further East during these exercises, as they think that they won't be seen. Stay frosty!

I was taught 'Clarity and Brevity' a long time ago by a wise person. Cut the waffle and get to the point. I do despair at the lack of variety used in English these days, I fear that the use of a thesaurus is in decline.
