The FDA release states Hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine have not been shown to be safe and effective for treating or preventing COVID-19

So, it’s not safe to give to a COVID-19 patient but you can still give it to an Auto-Immune Lupus or RA patient? So, it’s okay to give LUPUS and RA patients a medication that impacts the heart rhythm?

Quote” Hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine can cause abnormal heart rhythms such as QT interval prolongation and a dangerously rapid heart rate called ventricular tachycardia.”

IN THE EXACT SAME RELEASE the FDA states “Does not affect FDA-approved uses for malaria, lupus, and rheumatoid arthritis”.
