On The Scope:

Asian Western Pacific

Things are getting interesting in the South China Sea again. There is a non-moving (anchored?) passenger vessel right in the middle of the Paracels, and it looks like traffic has cleared out of the area around Scarby Shoal and the Spratly Islands again.

A sweep of US MEB-type platforms (they have several designations including Mobile Landing Platform and Expeditionary Mobile Dock) shows the most likely hull is the Lewis Puller in the area, but a couple more ships could be there, as they were last seen in Guam.

West Coast US and East Pacific

Usual ship count off San Diego but no discernable activity. USNS Watkins has made it into the Pacific and is now off the coast of Panama on a southerly heading along with other traffic.

This is all I see after a long scan. G'nite frens.

Captain Garth: How much can you decipher?

Commander Rochefort: Fifteen percent.

Captain Garth: Really decipher?

Commander Rochefort: Ten percent.

Captain Garth: That's one word in ten, Joe! You're guessing!

Commander Rochefort: We like to call it "analysis."
