Welch along with Tom Brokaw, David Brinkley, John Chancellor, Marvin Kalb, Irving R. Levine, Peter G. Peterson, and Andrea Mitchell (wife of former Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan); ABC CEO Thomas S. Murphy, with Barbara Walters, Diane Sawyer, and George Stephanopoulos. PBS media members include Robert McNeil, Jim Lehrer, Hodding Carter III, and Daniel Schorr. Last but not least among the CFR media mogul members is Rupert Murdock, NY Post and Fox News (So much for “fair and balanced reporting.”)

This of course is an old list but they refill positions with next gen of "reporters"
