Starting to see TV commercials for masks. They are predictably wildly overblowing the situation:

"It's recommended that you wear a mask during your daily activities."

10 for $29.99

Another one must be the competition:

"No public contact delivery"

"So you can obey stay-at home orders"

"Sometimes we have to go out in public to get essentials"

10 for 19.99

Then there was a Shamwow commercial:

"Call now and get a free Shamwow mask with your order!"

"The Japanese government plans to make a coronavirus contact-tracing app available by the end of this month. The app records the data of smartphones that come within a certain distance of each other. People will then be alerted if they have been in close contact with someone diagnosed with the virus.

The government held a meeting on Friday to discuss ways to use information technology for preventing the spread of the virus. It was decided the app should not keep track of phone numbers and location data, to protect people's privacy. Economic Revitalization Minister Nishimura Yasutoshi says the operating systems of smartphone models are being updated to run the app."

I don't answer my door, so they'd have to catch me out in the yard. In that case, I guess I would refuse, go inside, and hope they don't call the police. kek
