An audio of former President Barack Obama, whose Administration spied on the Trump team and Administration, was released by deep state reporter Michael Isikoff at Yahoo News on Friday night.
In the “call” which appears totally set up, Obama is concerned about the rule of law.

“The news over the last 24 hours I think has been somewhat downplayed — about the Justice Department dropping charges against Michael Flynn,” Obama said during a virtual discussion with members of the Obama Alumni Association. “The fact that there is no precedent that anybody can find for someone who has been charged with perjury just getting off scot-free. That’s the kind of stuff where you begin to get worried that basic — not just institutional norms — but our basic understanding of rule of law is at risk. And when you start moving in those directions, it can accelerate pretty quickly as we’ve seen in other places.”

Muslim-American Leaders Meet with Obama at White House
President Barack Obama met behind closed doors Wednesday at the White House with 14 Muslim Americans, including a leader with a Dearborn-based group, for an hour-long discussion about civil rights, anti-Muslim bias, and extremism.
It was the first time the president has held a round-table meeting with Muslim-American leaders, said participants. He’s had round-table discussions in the White House with African-American, Jewish-American and labor leaders, but never Muslim-American advocates.
“It was a very frank and candid exchange,” said Farhana Khera, executive director of Muslim Advocates, who attended the session. “I commend the president for sitting down and hearing the hopes and dreams of American Muslims.”

US SOF troops and Kurdish fighters take down ISIS cell leader
U.S. Special Operation Forces led a Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) operation against an Islamic State cell in Syria in response to increased ISIS attacks in the region. The combined operation resulted in the capturing of an ISIS leader responsible for the recent attacks in the Deir el-Zour countryside.
Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR), the U.S.-led coalition in Syria and Iraq, released a statement by spokesman Colonel Myles Caggins on Thursday highlighting the mission’s success and announcing the capture of the unnamed ISIS leader. Yet, he didn’t add much more regarding the operation in the Deir el-Zor region.
The SDF tweeted that the operation took place in a rural area of Deir el-Zor province in the village of Azzir. CJTF-OIR supports the SDF, which is mostly comprised of Kurds from the People’s Protection Units (YPG). The SDF also includes Arabs and Syrian Christians in its multi-ethnic force.
In the initial assault, coalition forces inserted by helicopters and then troops stormed a house. Two ISIS fighters blew themselves up to avoid being captured while an Iraqi ISIS fighter was arrested according to the U.K.-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, (SOHR).
As the region is being hit hard by the coronavirus, ISIS has become more aggressive and is trying to rebuild its strength.

'Donations transparently used for wartime sex slavery victims'
A former leader of a civic group advocating for Korean victims of Japan's wartime sex slavery claimed Friday that the group has managed citizens' donations transparently, denying the accusation that the donations have not been used for the victims.
Yoon Mi-hyang, who led the Korean Council for Justice and Remembrance for the Issues of Military Sexual Slavery by Japan, wrote on Facebook, "The group's accounting has been thoroughly managed and audited. Since 1992, the group has offered support funds to the victims and kept all the receipts signed with the victims' thumbprints."
Yoon, who won a National Assembly seat in April on the proportional representation ticket of Civil Together, a satellite party of the ruling Democratic Party of Korea, also said part of donations have been spent on the group's various activities to resolve the historical sex slavery issue.
Her remarks came a day after Lee Yong-soo, one of the surviving victims who was forced to serve soldiers in brothels during World War II, claimed the group has never used the donations for the victims.

Afghan Government Releases 1,000 Taliban Members - Security Council
KABUL (Sputnik) - The Afghan government has released 1,000 members of the Taliban movement and expects the group to respond by setting free government security forces personnel and speeding up the preparation of direct talks, the Afghan National Security Council said on Saturday.
The prisoner exchange and launch of the intra-Afghan talks became possible after the Taliban and Washington reached a peace deal in Qatar in February. Under the agreement, the US and NATO troops are to be pulled out from the country within 14 months, and the intra-Afghan talks between the militant group and the government have been set to start on March 10. However, the talks have been delayed due to Afghanistan’s electoral crisis and mutual disagreements over the release of prisoners.
The Taliban group is demanding that the Afghan authorities release 5,000 prisoners on the basis of the US-Taliban peace deal. The Afghan government, in its turn, agreed to gradually release 1,500 of the movement's members.

Turkish military HQ in Libya engulfed in flames after alleged Libyan Army attack
Several fires erupted at Mitiga International Airport in Tripoli, Libya after its jet fuel tank farm was “attacked”, Libya’s National Oil Corporation said on Facebook. The company provided no further details on the attack.
According to the corporation, a firefighter crew has arrived at the scene to contain the blazes.
Al Jazeera earlier reported that the airport had come under a rocket attack that hit a civilian plane.
The incident comes following a spate of attacks in the Libyan capital on Thursday, which was blamed on the Libyan National Army, led by Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar. The LNA has denied any involvement in the attacks.
In late April, the Haftar-led force announced it would cease hostilities during the holy month of Ramadan.

Corporate corruption exerts a number of adverse influences on a nation’s economy (Mauro 1995). The presence of corruption encourages the growth of unofficial economies and affects the ability of a nation to efficiently allocate resources or sustain economic growth (Tanzi 1983, Slemrod 2007). Corruption also impedes the development of market-supporting institutions such as independent legal or regulatory systems (de Soto 1989, Shleifer and Vishny 1993).
In spite of these adverse effects, corruption persists. It remains a global phenomenon despite increased corporate transparency, expanded international capital flows, and enhanced institutional monitoring. We contend that corruption persists because of the economic and financial advantages it provides to firms. We also contend that corporate corruption continues to exist because it provides benefits to a firm. The access to regulators, bureaucratic waivers, and accelerated/more favourable administrative decisions are profitable for firms and encourage them to continue their corrupt practices. In this sense, corporate corruption persists because it represents a positive net present value project for the firm. More formally, we hypothesise that corporate corruption persists because it provides financial benefits to the firm. We refer to this as the ‘corporate advantage hypothesis’.

Following a breakdown in communication between the USA and Russia, the Kremlin organised the huge emergency practice drill - either as a show of force or something more sinister.
