State Annual Budgets
So how much bailout are states “entitled” to receive?
Combined state annual budgets are approximately $2 trillion.
What are the added expenses of the states that justify reimbursement?
Extended unemployment benefits are reimbursed in addition to “stimulus” relief.
Federal assistance on business loans is provided (though quality of legislation is questionable).
Federal government has provide assistance with healthcare staff, supplies and facilities.
Under emergency declarations, the federal government reimburses states for the National Guard services.
Did the state health departments prepare for a contagion emergency in January and February?
Review emergency response plans
Provide or recommend additional training for the healthcare providers under their jurisdiction
Inventory and order medical supplies necessary for an epidemic response
Coordinate mutual aid response plans for local, county and state levels
Who is responsible for the management and oversight of healthcare facilities, the state dept, of health or the CDC?
Many who are unemployed are due to decree by their state governor.
The states and local governments reduced services they are obligated to provide,
Schools
Libraries
Parks and recreation facilities
Infrastructure services
Business regulation and oversight
Social services
etc…
So what state expenses warrant reimbursement and relief from the government?
Daily operation of state and local government?
Underfunded state and local pension funds?
Expense of state choosing to implement a new voting system?
Lost tax revenue due to decrees issued by the governors?
What “We The People” need, should any state reimbursement be authorized, is a full detailed accounting and justification of the expensed incurred. The people and businesses already provide $2 trillion a year for their "services."
President Trump needs to issue an Executive Order that before moneys are drawn from the US Treasury that a full account of receipts is provided by the state and local governments.
