Attention Pastors…. I received a call from the Governor Lujan Grisham’s office wanting to know what our church was planning to do this summer. Are we having in children’s programs, VBS, youth camp, revivals? My secretary said the lady was very kind but really wanted to know. She took a message for me and I called them back believing it was a prank call. No prank call. The lady was very kind but asked me the same questions. I was kind as well and politely told her that I didn’t think it to be appropriate for the Governor to make churches non-essential and shutting us out of our houses of worship then call wanting to know our schedule of events for the summer. Too fishy for me. I would encourage pastors to really think about who is wanting to know before you answer any of these questions if the governor calls you.
