Back in 2004/2005 I attended a Siemens Step7 (PLC ladder Logic) programming school for training as a part of my job. Allen Bradley was the industry standard and as a part of their sales pitch to become more relevant in North America they were saying that the Siemens PLC was so powerful that it could remotely fly a 747. Those words always stuck with me, I don't know if they were serious or not but that was what they were telling us.
