Draco is also a constellation in the northern sky. Thuban is the star in the constellation of Draco that use to be the north star in Ancient Egyptian times. The Pyrimads were build to align with Thuban the, part of the tail of the dragon in the constellation officially noted as Alpha Draconis. Interestingly as well, the word Thuban is derived from the Arabic word for snake.

It relates to Greek Mythology to a Dragon named Draco being killed by the Goddess Minerva and then tossed into the sky and part of it froze to the North pole.

Also, the constellation right next to Draco is Hercules which plays right into the mythology. The snake vs. the eagle. The Goddess is included with Minerva (Isis). The same stories over and over again with slilghtly different variations
