Did anyone watch Babylon 5? I'm binge watching season one, and seen a couple references. Haven't seen MKultra yet, but "All religions are equally valid and consist only of rituals and sometimes annoying false beliefs that get in the way of science & medicine" was the topic of two episodes.

A horrible killer wanted for crimes against sentients, and all the major players were vying heavily to have her tried at their home world because she had developed an immortality serum. Her last words were to explain, the important part couldn't be synthesized. It had to be extracted from another living being at the cost of their life; Jhadur looked forward to the millions of deaths her host would commit after accusing her of killing a few tens of thousands a few generations before.
