That's kind of the point of television. Only it isn't just meant to target children. People off all ages are targeted. But targeting does start at a very young age. Many adults either aren't around to discern for their children, or gladly place them in front of the idiot box, to occupy the child and allow the adult to do "grown-up" stuff, whatever that means. Usually it means just watch stupid shit on the television that isn't designed specifically for children…
