Lead singer is the drummer, not that common. The Band comes to mind before Ringo Starr ever would…)) Saw an old Beverly Hillbillies recently, Jethro went into the music production business & mentioned the Strawberry Alarm Clock as the 'new age' of the times.

Ed did the studio recording on Sweet Home on the first take. He said he had to go get a Strat because the other 2 were already playing Gibsons and needed a different tone to make his own mark. Trust me, the transition from a 24-3/4 scale to the 25.5" took me years to adjust to as they play so damn differently. First try on a tune like that shows a lot of dexterity on the fly. He did an interview with MartySchwartz of youtube fame, so glad so seem them both having fun in what turned out to be Ed's last days. Oh well, at least we get the intro from the man himself.

No shit, he was damn good! So was the piano man. The clip shows a bad ass bass player in a sailor's captain hat. Rossington on the Les Paul, but for the life of me I can't remember the guy playing the Explorer. He plays with such a relaxed wrist and open hand while picking I thought he was the best of the three, even Ed King before he left.

>I was at that show.

WOW…) Just like everyone was at Woodstock back in the day… just kidding, Anon. You notice all the pretty girls (unless you are one!)? The people in the crowd seem so much more relaxed and comfortable within themselves and much more in shape than today's youth. You must be an aging Boomer like me! Wouldn't trade those memories for anything these days. You'd have the band playing to an audience of iPhone photofags! Thanks for chirping in.
