DOJ spokesperson 'very disappointed' in Chuck Todd for 'deceptive editing' of Barr's comments on Flynn case

A spokesperson for the Department of Justice accused Chuck Todd of deceptively editing a video clip of William Barr. Todd played a clip on "Meet the Press" that appeared to be purposely cut short to misinterpret Barr's comments about the charges being dropped against former national security adviser Michael Flynn.

On Sunday morning, Todd played a clip from Barr's recent interview with Catherine Herridge on CBS News. However, the clip played did not provide Barr's full answer, which told a completely different story than the snippet given.

Herridge asked Barr, "When history looks back on this decision, how do you think it will be written?"

"Well, history is written by the winner. So it largely depends on who's writing the history," Barr replied.

After playing the short clip, Todd said, "I was struck, Peggy, by the cynicism of the answer. It's a correct answer, but he's the attorney general. He didn't make the case that he was upholding the rule of law. He was almost admitting that, yeah, this is a political job."

However, Barr's full response to Herridge puts his answer in a completely different context.

"Well, history is written by the winner. So it largely depends on who's writing the history," Barr told Herridge. "But I think a fair history would say it was a good decision because it upheld the rule of law, it upheld the standards of the Department of Justice, and it undid what was an injustice."

Explosion Rocks Turkish-Occupied City In Northern Syria. Casualties Reported

On May 10, a large explosion rocked the center of the Turkish-occupied city of al-Bab in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

Local sources said a heavy improvised explosive device (IED) exploded in a local market, near the Center roundabout in city’s center. The explosion took place before Iftar, the first meal eaten by fasting Muslims after sunset in Ramadan.

According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), a civilian was killed and more than 20 others were injured. Some of the injured people, including a child, are reportedly in a critical condition.

There was no immediate claim for the al-Bab attack. Both ISIS and Kurdish forces are usually accused of orchestrating such attacks in Turkish-occupied areas.

Last month, a booby-trapped truck packed with dozens of fuel barrels exploded in the occupied city of Afrin. The attack killed and injured over 100 people, including women and children. The perpetrators have not been uncovered yet.

These attacks shade light on the deteriorating security situation in Turkish-occupied areas in north and northeast Syria. The Turkish military and its proxies appear to be unable to secure the area.

Camera-equipped robot patrols Singapore park telling people to social distance during COVID-19 pandemic

Last month, a drone flew around New York City and instructed people to practice proper social distancing guidelines. Drones have been used by police departments in San Diego and Connecticut to warn people of the dangers of the novel coronavirus. State and local entities around the country are using drones manufactured and donated by Chinese company DJI for coronavirus distancing enforcement. In Singapore, they have a four-legged, dog-like robot equipped with cameras that patrols a park during the COVID-19 pandemic to remind people to social distance.

A robot named "Spot" is patrolling Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park to tell people to practice social distancing by broadcasting a recorded message. The robot is equipped with sensors and cameras, plus it features 3D-mapping and video analytics developed by GovTech that allow it to estimate the number of visitors in the park. Singapore said that the cameras on the robot would not track people or use facial recognition.

Spot is controlled remotely and can walk on paths as well as in the grass. Spot can venture in wooded areas that flying drones might have difficulty operating in.

Flynn Attorney Sidney Powell Says Conspiracy to Entrap General Flynn Goes All the Way to the Top to Barack Obama

General Flynn’s attorney Sidney Powell on Sunday said Barack Obama was involved in the conspiracy to entrap Flynn.

Powell told “Sunday Morning Futures” host Maria Bartiromo that former DNI James Clapper briefed Barack Obama on the transcripts of the December 2016 Flynn-Kislyak phone calls.

The Justice Department dropped its case against General Mike Flynn Thursday after bombshell documents released proved he was framed by Comey’s FBI.

The DOJ said in its motion to dismiss that “The interview of Mr. Flynn was untethered to, and unjustified by, the FBI’s counterintelligence investigation into Mr. Flynn.”

The DOJ was referring to the January 24, 2017 ambush FBI interview conducted by FBI counterintel chief Peter Strzok and FBI special agent Joe Pientka.

“These agents specifically schemed and planned with each other how to not tip him off, that he was even the person being investigated,” Powell said of Strzok and Pientka.

According to newly declassified documents, then-Deputy AG Sally Yates said she first learned of the December 2016 calls between Flynn and Kislyak from Barack Obama in the January 5, 2017 Oval Office meeting.

“The whole thing was orchestrated and set up within the FBI, Clapper, Brennan, and in the Oval Office meeting that day with President Obama,” Powell said referring the secret Oval Office meeting on January 5, 2017.

Maria Bartiromo asked Powell, “So you think this goes all the way up to the top to President Obama?”

Powell responded: “Absolutely.”

Michael Isikoff at Yahoo News on Friday night released audio of a call from former President Barack Obama to political operatives and the media to help protect “the rule of law” by protecting him. Obama desperately wants the Deep State and media to protect him by helping elect Joe Biden:

Obama Admin Official Calls To Physically Remove Trump From Office Using Military If He Refuses To Leave After 2020 Defeat

Opinion| On Saturday, an op-ed piece was published by liberally-run CNN, which was penned by a former Obama White House official who is calling for planning, which includes the United States Military as well as state rebellions, if President Donald Trump will not “peacefully” leave his post as President if he does not win the 2020 election and will not accept the results of the election.

“While the Obama official does not use the phrase ‘civil war,’ it is the name for the rebellion of states and the military that he calls for if Trump will not ‘peacefully’ hand over the reins of government on January 20,2021 following an election defeat. Curiously, the op-ed comes the day after an election for a Congressional seat in North Carolina was vacated due to fraud and a new election ordered to take place by the State Board of Elections.”

The op-ed piece was titled, “What If Trump Refuses to Accept Defeat in 2020?” It was written by Joshua A. Geltzer, who spent time serving at the National Security Council for the last two years that Barack Obama was in office, and as the Gateway Pundit alleges, the “Obama administration abused the national security apparatus of the federal government to spy on the Trump campaign in order to thwart Trump’s election and, failing that, to then try to stop Trump’s inauguration and, failing that, to try to bring about his removal from office through impeachment or the 25th Amendment.”

Geltzer brings up the idea that President Trump wouldn’t “peacefully” leave his post over and over again in the op-ed. He didn’t exactly call for people to remove Trump with force, but it seems evident that he is looking for action by the military’s leaders if Trump won’t leave “peacefully.” How else can this be interpreted? It sounds to me like he is calling on the military to depose Trump (if Congress certifies an election loss and he refuses to accept the result of the vote), how do militaries depose people? By force.

He shared the op-ed piece on Twitter writing, “What if Donald Trump loses in 2020 but won’t leave the Oval Office peacefully? There’s real reason to worry. I offer via @CNNOpinion four things we can do NOW to get ahead of this threat to our democracy:”

CNN’s Stelter LOSING IT over Flynn news shows depths media will go to divert attention away from stories they DON’T LIKE

CNN’s Brian Stelter got plenty of attention when he lost it on air over “right-wing media” paying too much attention to Michael Flynn and not enough to Covid-19 – and ramming the message home by likening it to 9/11 “every day.”

“They’re treating the Michael Flynn story like it’s a bigger deal than the deaths of 2,000 Americans a day,” Stelter complained, about conservative outlets that have been covering news of charges against retired General Flynn being dropped.

Flynn, President Donald Trump’s original national security adviser, was the most prominent member of the administration to get caught up in the ‘Russiagate’ investigation. He was let go from his position in 2017 and pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI, but the Justice Department has now dropped charges against Flynn after finding them to be without merit and following numerous reports about the questionable tactics the FBI used to get a confession.

Stelter doesn’t believe the story is worth all that much media coverage because the coronavirus should be taking precedence. The controversial CNN host tried to relay just how important the pandemic is, by comparing it to both the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the US, as well as the New Orleans flooding caused by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

“It’s like New Orleans floods every day … It’s like the planes go into the towers every day.”

“It’s so disappointing to look at what we’re seeing from right-wing media these days, where there’s such an obsession with the deep state and these revelations about the Russia probe and the decision about Michael Flynn,” Stelter continued.

American Airlines, Hyatt to Give Free Vacations to Thousands of NYC Health Care Workers

American Airlines and Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced in a joint statement Friday that they would be giving thousands of free vacations to New York City health care workers on the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic.

The companies said in the statement that more than 4,000 workers employed at the NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst medical center would be treated to roundtrip vacations to destinations throughout the U.S. and the Caribbean once they can “take time for themselves.”

Hyatt Hotels plans to provide accommodations once they arrive at no cost.

The companies said doctors, nurses, physician assistants, facility workers, and food service teams would be among those who qualify for the trips.

“We are extremely grateful to Hyatt and American Airlines for this generous gift to our health care workers, who have been at the epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic,” Israel Rocha, vice president of NYC Health + Hospitals and CEO of NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, said.

“Our doctors, nurses, and other staff on the front lines of this unprecedented health care crisis really appreciate the outpouring of support,” he continued.

The New York City metropolitan area has emerged as one of the epicenters of the coronavirus outbreak in the U.S. As of Sunday, the New York City Health Department reported more than 177,000 cases and 14,505 confirmed deaths reported by New York state.

New York state as a whole has reported more than 21,000 deaths and more than 333,000 confirmed cases.

Giuliani: What Comey, Brennan Orchestrated ‘as Close to Treason as You Can Get’

In a Sunday interview on New York AM 970 radio’s “The Cats Roundtable,” Rudy Giuliani, personal legal counsel for President Donald Trump, weighed in on the Department of Justice’s decision to drop charges against former National Security Adviser Ret. Gen. Michael Flynn after new evidence came to light showing FBI agents attempted to entrap Flynn into lying to them.

Giuliani said former CIA Director John Brennan, along with former FBI Director James Comey, orchestrated the Deep State’s attempt to take down Trump, which he described as “as close to treason as you can get.”

“This is now an inexperienced prosecutor’s hypothesis … I think Brennan ran this damn thing,” Giuliani told host John Catsimatidis. “I particularly think Brennan ran the Papadopoulos-Carter Page part of it because that’s a very elaborate counter-intelligence plan — kind of a stupid one. Brennan is smart, but if he goes overboard, he makes a lot of mistakes, which is why he was in trouble all his career. So, that one I’m sure is orchestrated by CIA. And who the hell would’ve done it in the CIA but a screwball like Brennan?”

He added, “I think they have Comey. And I think, despite the fact that he got let off a couple of times — and I have no inside information — I believe that Attorney General Barr was saving it for the really good case, the one that comes pretty close to treason, because what they did after [Trump] was elected, I don’t say that it’s treason, but it’s as close to treason as you can get. They wanted to take out the lawfully elected President of the United States, and they wanted to do it by lying, submitting false affidavits, using phony witnesses — in other words, they wanted to do it by illegal means. What is overthrowing a government by illegal means? A coup … and it’s also treason.”
