It turns out the initial Flynn-Kislyak leak was not to WaPo reporter David Ignatius — it was to WaPo reporter Adam Entous.

It was previously believed someone, perhaps the Pentagon’s Director of the Office of Net Assessment James Baker may have leaked Flynn’s calls with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak to WaPo reporter David Ignatius.

Flynn’s leaked calls were published by WaPo’s David Ignatius on January 12, 2017 which led to Flynn being fired as National Security Advisor in February of 2017.

However, the leak came directly from “sources [who] saw a transcript and described it to [Entous].”

Who leaked the Flynn transcript to Adam Entous?

The leak occurred around January 5, 2017 — the same day Barack Obama was reportedly briefed on the calls for then-DNI chief James Clapper.

Recall, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, James Comey, Sally Yates, Susan Rice and John Brennan discussed General Flynn’s phone calls with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak in a January 5 2017 secret Oval Office meeting.

So who leaked the Flynn-Kislyak transcript?

The DOJ source who leaked on February 13, 2017 was so close to Sally Yates, they knew exactly when Yates saw the intelligence.

“…When this intelligence came in, which would be in late December, early January . . . Yates saw the intelligence”

According to newly declassified documents, then-Deputy AG Sally Yates said she first learned of the December 2016 calls between Flynn and Kislyak from Barack Obama in the January 5, 2017 Oval Office meeting.

Why did Obama know this information before it was published in the media? Washington Post reporter David Ignatius didn’t publish the story about Flynn’s communications with Kislyak until January 12, a full week after the secret Oval Office meeting.

Top Liberal Operative Funnels Millions From Super PAC to Her Private Firm

Tara McGowan, who runs dark money ACRONYM network, behind botched Iowa app

Tara McGowan, the Democratic operative most closely associated with the technological fiasco that unfolded in the Iowa caucuses, has funneled nearly $2.4 million from her super PAC to her private firm. It is the latest in a series of transfers between entities in her dark money network.

New disclosure forms show that PACRONYM, a super PAC affiliated with McGowan's nonprofit ACRONYM—the dark money group behind the botched Iowa caucus app—spent close to $2.4 million on anti-Trump ads Wednesday night that will run in the key swing state of Pennsylvania. The money was sent to a for-profit digital consulting firm, Lockwood Strategy Lab, which is also part of McGowan's network.

McGowan's PAC has been active in an effort by Democratic groups to flood battleground states with ads criticizing President Donald Trump's response to the coronavirus pandemic. The PAC's filings show that it has been heavily financed by the same wealthy liberal donors who also provide millions to a number of groups undertaking similar efforts.

The new expenditures are not the first time McGowan has funneled between the two groups. The super PAC had already sent nearly $1.5 million this cycle to the digital firm for media buys against Trump and $400,000 for digital consulting and survey research. The super PAC transferred $1 million to the firm during the 2018 election cycle. PACRONYM and Lockwood Strategy did not respond to a request for comment on the transfers.

McGowan, who previously worked for Priorities USA Action and President Obama's reelection campaign, created ACRONYM following the 2016 election to rival Trump's online operations. Under its umbrella are PACRONYM, Lockwood Strategy, Courier Newsroom, and technology firm Shadow Inc., which developed the app that failed in spectacular fashion during Iowa's Democratic caucuses. The Nevada Democratic Party abandoned the app following the Iowa debacle and ahead of its own caucuses.

While ACRONYM does not disclose its donors, some of its funders can be gleaned from public records. For example, Federal Election Commission filings show that the nonprofit received $300,000 from Nancy Pelosi's House Majority PAC in 2018. That same year, the super PAC received a $45,000 donation from billionaire Tom Steyer's NextGen Climate Action Committee, which also paid an additional $90,000 for data consulting services.

PACRONYM, on the other hand, must disclose its donors. So far this cycle, the super PAC has hauled in $9.6 million primarily from deep-pocketed individuals. Its biggest contributor is George Soros, whose Democracy PAC has pushed $1.75 million to the super PAC. Billionaire hedge fund investor Donald Sussman provided $1 million, putting him among the group's top donors. The PAC's money, in turn, has mainly been sent to Lockwood Strategy for ads, consulting services, and research.

Facebook Removes News Outlets in Latest Orwellian Purge

Over the past three years, Facebook has been removing accounts for participating in what they call "coordinated inauthentic behavior" (CIB). According to Facebook’s head of cybersecurity policy, the Orwellian term refers to when "groups of pages or people work together to mislead others about who they are or what they’re doing." Facebook takes down accounts for CIB due to "deceptive behavior" not for sharing false information. In the latest purge, Facebook removed accounts from two news outlets, SouthFront and News Front.

The two outlets have no affiliation; the only thing they share besides the word "Front" in their names is content that does not toe the Western mainstream media line. In its effort to remove CIB and limit "disinformation," Facebook partners with the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensics Research Lab (DFRLab). The Atlantic Council is a Washington-based think-tank that receives funding from Western and Gulf State governments, defense contractors, and social media outlets. Some of its top contributors for the 2018 fiscal year include the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the Embassy of the UAE to the US, the US State Department, Lockheed Martin, and Raytheon.

Facebook started releasing monthly CIB reports in March that detail the networks and accounts they take down. On May 5th, Facebook released its CIB report for April 2020. The report says Facebook removed eight networks of accounts, pages, and groups engaging in CIB. SouthFront and News Front are included in the first network covered in the report. "We removed 46 Pages, 91 Facebook accounts, 2 Groups, and 1 Instagram account for violating our policy against foreign interference which is coordinated inauthentic behavior on behalf of a foreign entity," the report reads.

Facebook claims they linked this activity to "individuals in Russia and Donbass, and two media organizations in Crimea – NewsFront and SouthFront." In a response to the report, SouthFront says the claim that they are based in Crimea is a "blatant lie" that they are willing to "defend in court." SouthFront says the organization is made up of "an international team of independent authors and experts," some of whom are from Russia and post-USSR states. News Front, on the other hand, is based in Crimea, but the organization does not try to hide its pro-Russia bias.

Twitter’s Dorsey Adds $750k To Eminem’s Quarter Million Donation To Help Detroit Amid COVID-19 Crisis

Rapper Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, was a guest on the latest episode of the “Young Money Radio” podcast hosted by Lil Wayne.

During the podcast, the rapper announced that he had donated $250,000 to his Marshall Mathers Foundation, an organization “dedicated to providing assistance to disadvantaged and at-risk youth primarily in Detroit, Michigan and it’s surrounding communities,” according to PRNewswire.

After speaking with Mathers about quarantine, the ESPN Michael Jordan docuseries “The Last Dance,” and music, Wayne asked the rapper about a special food donation he made to Detroit’s front-line workers in late-April.

Referencing lyrics from Eminem’s song “Lose Yourself,” the rapper partnered with Union Joints, a Detroit catering company, to provide workers with tubs of spaghetti.

“Everybody’s just trying to do their part. With the Mom’s Spaghetti thing, for the people who can’t stay at home, and they have to work and put themselves at risk for this thing,” the rapper said, “you know, just to be able to put a smile on somebody’s face and provide some food…”

Lil Wayne continued, noting that Eminem had donated a quarter of a million dollars “to the charity.”

“Appreciate that, man,” Wayne said. “I’m sure they will, too.”

Eminem replied:

Yeah man, absolutely. Yeah, I’ve got a few areas I wanna take care of here in Detroit … like I said, man, everybody just gotta keep their heads up, man. I know that this is like, we ain’t never been through no s*** like this, but it won’t be forever and we’ll get through it.

Immediately following Eminem’s segment, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey called in, and announced that he would be contributing $750,000 to the charity to make it an even million between himself and Eminem.

Google’s Monopoly on Speech

“Don’t be evil” was explicit to Google’s motto and code of conduct for some 15 years. In 2015, Google updated its motto to “Do the right thing.” Today, Google, which owns YouTube, seems to have altered its motto to “Be evil” or “Do the wrong thing”—including censoring free speech of doctors, scientists, professors, politicians and journalists whose ideas differ from those of Google executives.

“This is the next step in the evolution of the Internet,” former Google CEO Eric Schmidt lauded Google’s purchase of YouTube for $1.65 billion in 2006. We now know Schmidt’s definition of Internet “progress” ostensibly centers around inducing users to think like him—by using YouTube to push assenting views and censor differing perspectives under the guise of legality or neutrality.

On April 27, YouTube deleted a video–that had accumulated over five million views—of a news conference hosted by Drs. Dan Erickson and Artin Massihi. The video contained no obscene content; no hate speech; and no copyright violations. The doctors operate a private urgent-care clinic in Bakersfield, California, and they courageously questioned the scientific accuracy of massive, elongated shutdowns extending to the young and healthy: "Do we need to still shelter in place? Our answer is emphatically no…We're actually seeing the patients. Dr. Fauci hasn't seen a patient for 20 years."

YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki quickly took to CNN to defend the censorship, claiming: “anything that would go against World Health Organization recommendations would be a violation of our policy.” (YouTube’s policy was only recently changed to include such a stipulation.)

A quick search on YouTube after Wojcicki censored the Bakersfield doctors revealed at least 20 videos that purport to be “cure-alls” for all or nearly “all diseases”—including chanting a mantra 108 times and taking an herb. If these so-called health videos, which YouTube kept up, comply with WHO standards—it certainly makes you question WHO standards and YouTube’s compliance team.

Last week, YouTube censored yet another video critical of Dr. Anthony Fauci that also contained snippets of Drs. Erickson and Massihi: Plandemic Documentary: The Hidden Agenda Behind Covid-19. YouTube deleted this video three times in 24 hours – even after it had accrued nearly 10 million views (across three channels).

Millions upon millions of people—including practicing doctors and celebrated researchers—disagree with YouTube’s arbitrary criteria. So why is YouTube afraid of their ideas? After all, YouTube purports to be a platform for ideas.

Several U.S. states are exploring using technology to make sure COVID patients are staying home and adhering to social distancing and self-quarantine rules. Meanwhile, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that he wants all kids to get a microchip tracker when they are born, something that would surely drip down to the rest of the population.

A deep dive by Reuters into the issue of using Orwellian technology revealed officials in the states of Arkansas, Hawaii, Kentucky and West Virginia suggests using GPS-enabled ankle bracelets and smartphone apps to track COVID-19 patients.

“Various ideas being evaluated for tracking those under mandatory quarantine in response to the COVID-19 pandemic are right now just that, ideas,” Hawaii’s COVID-19 Joint Information Center said for the Reuters piece published Thursday.

“We don’t want to take away people’s freedoms but at the same time we have a pandemic,” added Amy Hess, Louisville, Kentucky’s chief of public services.

According to Reuters, officials in some states would also use the measures to enforce stay-at-home orders given to arriving air passengers who are forced to abide by a 14-day quarantine.

Ankle bracelet tracking is already in place in Kentucky, Reuters further reports.

Seven people who broke quarantine rules in Louisville, Kentucky were court-ordered to wear GPS-tracking devices manufactured by Colorado-based SCRAM Systems, according to Amy Hess, the city’s chief of public services.

Reuters additionally reports that ankle bracelet supplier Shadowtrack Technologies Inc. President Robert Magaletta, which supplies nearly 250 clients across the criminal justice system, even commented that it has had state and local governments inquire about re-purposing their tools for quarantine enforcement. However, the company wouldn’t name the states that have requested to buy the technology.

That’s not all, a smartphone app maker, E-Cell, said they had recently been approached by a state agency that wanted to adapt its detainee-tracking smartphone app for quarantine enforcement.

Of course there needs to be funding for the Orwellian COVID-19 tracing technology; that’s where House Resolution 6666 comes in, a new bill proposed to fund it all. The TRACE Act, states it is “To authorize the Secretary of Health and Human Services to award grants to eligible entities to conduct diagnostic testing for COVID–19, and related activities such as contact tracing, through mobile health units and, as necessary, at individuals’ residences, and for other purposes” upwards to $100 billion dollars allocated.

The latest Johns Hopkins University data on the contagion puts U.S. cases over 1.3 million, including almost 80,000 deaths at the time of this report.

The nation’s overall population sits at roughly 330 million so that’s still a small percentage of the population infected with the virus.

While America is going insane with prospective quarantine surveillance technology, Israel takes the cake when it comes to surveillance; the country already implemented tracking of cellular communications, giving itself authority. Now, Israel’s Prime Minister has suggested microchipping kids to keep their distance, treating them like a car alarm (yes, really).

Navy's Top Admiral Isolating After COVID-19 Exposure; National Guard Chief Tests Positive

Two top U.S. military leaders are now in quarantine after one tested positive for the illness caused by the novel coronavirus and another was exposed to a family member with the disease.

Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Mike Gilday is spending the week quarantined after having contact with a family member who tested positive for COVID-19, a Defense Department official said Sunday night. Gilday has tested negative for the illness but will remain isolated, the official said.

The CNO was not present at Saturday's meeting at the White House with the other Joint Chiefs and several cabinet members.

The head of the National Guard, Gen. Joseph Lengyel, also tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday, according to the official. A second test Lengyel took the same day came back negative, the official added, and the general is expected to undergo a third test Monday morning "to confirm his negative status."

It's not clear which COVID-19 test was administered to Lengyel, but some are known to produce false negatives. A March fact sheet from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warns those undergoing a real-time diagnostic panel for COVID-19 that some patients who test negative for the virus could have it.

Bloomberg News reported Sunday that Lengyel learned of his positive test just ahead of the Saturday White House meeting after taking a rapid COVID-19 test.

As of Friday, the military had 5,171 confirmed cases of COVID-19 among its uniformed personnel. Two service members, a National Guardsman and a sailor, have died from the illness. More than 110 troops have been hospitalized.

The Navy has seen the most cases across all the military branches, with more than 2,100 sailors testing positive for COVID-19. About half of those cases have been among the crew members of the aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt.

That entire crew has now been tested for the illness, and the Navy has since stopped reporting the number of positive cases among its members.

Photos of the Saturday meeting at the White House showed the members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff sitting without any social distancing measures in the Cabinet Room. No one photographed including the general officers, President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Mark Esper was wearing a mask.

The Pentagon has directed all troops across the military to wear masks when social distancing measures are not possible.

How Big Wireless Lobbied Governments to Build 5G For Citizen Data Collection and Surveillance

While selling 5G technology to the public as a means for faster downloads, Big Wireless — comprising a web of telecom companies, lobbyists and law firms– is spending millions to lobby governments the world over to implement the next generation of cellular technology because of its potential for data collection and surveillance of citizens.

While the debate continues around 5G’s potential impact on human health, the environment and wildlife, often overlooked in the discussion about 5G is how the technology will be used for data collection and surveillance. Big Wireless has spent over three decades lobbying state powers to build this technology while selling it to the public as a means for faster downloads.

In that time the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association – an organization whose leadership has maintained a revolving door relationship with the U.S. Federal Communication Commission – has collaborated on or guided regulatory policy related to not only 5G, but the roll out of cell phones and other digital technology. The CTIA annually lobbies for the industry to the tune of millions of dollars, making them one of the most powerful telecom lobby groups.

The COVID19 pandemic has caused governments around the world to lockdown their nations, cancel public school sessions, and cost millions of people their jobs. Fears of spreading the virus and overloading the healthcare system are triggering an authoritarian response from many of these governments — including the United States. For many Americans, these aggressive measures have halted typical daily activities. Taking a trip to the gym, work, school, or out with friends – are no longer an option.

However, while most non-essential activities have stopped, the controversial expansion of the 5th generation of cellular infrastructure has continued. With the support and lobbying of the CTIA, Big Wireless’ 5G agenda is quickly expanding. Records from ProPublica show the CTIA lobbied for 2 recents bills related to 5G infrastructure.

On March 23, the 5G rollout took one step forward in the U.S. when President Donald Trump signed a bill aimed at “securing America’s 5G infrastructure.” The Secure 5G and Beyond Act calls for Congress to present a comprehensive plan for accelerating the nation’s 5G network “not later than 180 days.” The building of the next generation network has rapidly advanced due to the passing of the Secure 5G and Beyond Act and the Broadband Deployment Accuracy and Technological Availability (DATA) Act, which passed the House in December 2019.

In April 2019, President Donald Trump held a press conference where he stated his intention to expand the U.S. wireless infrastructure as part of the effort to defeat China in the so-called “Race to 5G”. During the press conference Trump stood next to the head of the Federal Communications Commission and telecommunication employees as he declared, “The race to 5G is on and we must win.” While Trump is certain that America must win this apparent race – even during the middle of a pandemic – determining exactly who is the driving force behind the push towards the 5th generation of cellular technology requires digging through decades of lawsuits, industry corruption, and captured agencies.

A 2015 expose published by investigative journalist Norm Alster for the Harvard Edmund J. Safra Center for Ethics details the financial ties between the FCC and telecom companies and how the industry has direct access and power over the agency meant to regulate it. The report, “Captured Agency: How the Federal Communications Commission is Dominated by the Industries it Presumably Regulates”, details how the FCC, an independent government agency created in 1934 to regulate interstate communications by radio, television, wire, satellite and cable, has become a captured agency with Big Wireless leaders filling the government seats in a revolving door fashion similar to other federal agencies.

Regarding the passing of the 1996 Telecom Act – the act meant to regulate the developing mobile phone and internet infrastructure – Alster writes,

Late lobbying won the wireless industry enormous concessions from lawmakers, many of them major recipients of industry hard and soft dollar contributions. Congressional staffers who helped lobbyists write the new law did not go unrewarded. Thirteen of fifteen staffers later became lobbyists themselves.”

Alster states that direct lobbying by industry is “just one of many worms in a rotting apple”. His report says the FCC is involved in a network of powerful moneyed interests with limitless access and a variety of ways to shape policy. Alster believes the worst part is that the wireless industry has been allowed to grow unchecked and virtually unregulated, with fundamental questions on public health routinely ignored. The Captured Agency report makes it clear that this type of corruption takes place because of “the free flow of executive leadership between the FCC and the industries it presumably oversees”.

For example, at the time of the report’s release, the Chairman of the FCC was Tom Wheeler, a man with deep ties to the wireless industry. In 2013, Wheeler was nominated as FCC chairman by former President Barack Obama after raising more than $700,000 for his presidential campaigns. Wheeler led the two most powerful industry lobbying groups: The National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA) and the CTIA. In 20, Wheeler was also the head of the FCC during the debate around Net Neutrality.

Ajit Pai, current chairman of the FCC, is another example of this revolving door relationship. Pai is an attorney who served as Associate General Counsel at Verizon Communications Inc. between 2001 and 2003, where he handled competition and regulatory matters. Pai was appointed to the FCC by Barack Obama in 2012 and then made FCC Chairman by Donald Trump in January 2017. In an odd skit

In February, Pai admitted that the FCC failed to protect Americans’ privacy after it was revealed that at least two companies were gaining access to Americans’ private data and selling it to law enforcement. Pai called for a fine of over $200 million on AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint. “This FCC will not tolerate phone companies putting Americans’ privacy at risk,” Pai stated when announcing the fine.

Now, these same forces are calling on the public to embrace the Race to 5G. While most of the public is unaware of this history, understanding the corporate and lobbyist influence on the scientific research and light regulatory touch, is absolutely imperative as the world prepares to be surrounded by the devices and infrastructure of the emerging 5G industry.

NOVO-OGARYOVO, May 11. /TASS/. Non-working days in Russia will end on May 12, but it will take significant time to end restrictions in the regions, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Monday.

"Starting from tomorrow, on May 12, a single period of non-working days for the entire country and all economic sectors will end," Putin said, noting that the fight against the pandemic would continue and any backsliding should be thwarted.

It will take certain time to end the restrictions and this process won’t be quick, Putin said. The president also stressed that starting from May 12 at all stages until the epidemic is fully stopped all general sanitary requirements as well as additional preventive measures in the regions should remain in place.

The ban on holding mass events in Russia due to the coronavirus pandemic will continue.

"Of course, across the country, any mass events are out of the question," Putin said.

Putin emphasized that everyone needs to strictly observe sanitary rules - this applies to the work of enterprises, shops, transport, and the service sector. "The increased safety regime should be maintained for people over 65, as well as for those who suffer from chronic diseases," the president added.

According to him, lifting or softening the restrictions "must take place under strict observance of all conditions and sanitary requirements that guarantee safety of people.".

Russia’s measures to combat coronavirus have allowed to save thousands of lives, Putin said. "Thanks to the measures carried out earlier many thousands of lives have been saved and certainly, doctors and nurses had a decisive role here," he said.

Ombudsman turns down justice minister’s request for probe of state prosecution

Matanyahu Englman tells Amir Ohana ‘no reason to deviate’ from current plans to review prosecutors’ work, after latter decried ‘decline of public confidence’ in legal system

State Comptroller Matanyahu Englman on Monday turned down Justice Minister Amir Ohana’s request for a wide-ranging probe of the state prosecution.

In a letter to Ohana, Englman wrote that there was “no reason to deviate from the work plan that was determined regarding the State Attorney’s Office,” and that the State Comptroller’s Office would continue its work, which includes a general review of the prosecution’s work.

“Still, the issues you raised will be brought to the attention of the relevant division,” Englman added.

Ohana, a confidante of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has been a sharp critic of the justice system since being appointed acting justice minister last year, and has slammed prosecutors over the premier’s indictment on graft charges.

Over the weekend, he launched a scathing attack against Attorney General Avichai Mandeblit and called for an investigation into former state attorney Shai Nitzan, who led the investigations into Netanyahu.

Ohana has feuded with Mandelblit continuously since assuming his post as justice minister, sparring over Eldad’s appointment and replacement, and about Ohana’s own authority as an acting justice minister to appoint senior officials.

In a Facebook post, Ohana broadly attacked the Justice Ministry and brought up the Harpaz Affair, in which Mandelblit was once investigated but never charged.

Ohana wrote he was “worried” about the legal system, saying “many before me identified in the legal system a sickness, vengeance, lack of transparency, decay.”

“There are people in the system who recognize it, but there is a great fear and dread about making things public,” he said. “Anyone with eyes can see the unprecedented decline in public confidence in the prosecutor’s office and legal counsel.”

Ohana is set to step down Thursday, with the swearing-in of the new government and is reported to be Netanyahu’s preferred choice for public security minister, who oversees the police.

Health Ministry Director-General Moshe Bar Siman-Tov, who has led much of Israel’s efforts against the coronavirus pandemic, is considering stepping down from the post, according to a report Monday.

Meanwhile Finance Ministry Director-General Shai Babad, who has also been a central figure in financial policy throughout the crisis, said he intends to step down with the swearing-in of a new government.

According to a Ynet report Monday, Bar Siman-Tov’s decision will depend largely on who is appointed health minister in the next government, which is set to be sworn in Thursday.

While sources close to Bar Siman-Tov were quoted saying that the identity of the next health minister would be “critical,” they did not name anyone specific who would influence his decision.

The report also noted that the next health minister can appoint a new ministry director-general, with Bar Siman-Tov not guaranteed the position. A source in the health system suggested that this detail factored into Bar Siman-Tov’s thinking.

“If the next minister doesn’t want him, he’ll say he wanted to quit,” the unnamed source said.
